Amy Brantly is Of Counsel in the Los Angeles office of Susman Godfrey. Ms. Brantly represents plaintiffs and defendants in a range of complex litigation cases in both state and federal courts, including class actions, antitrust cases, securities cases, and financial fraud cases. Ms. Brantly strives to provide the best service and results for her clients and prides herself on efficient and intelligent work.

Notable Representation

  • Masimo Corp. v. Tyco Healthcare Group L.P. (C.D. Cal.) — Ms. Brantly represented
    Masimo Corporation, a young and dynamic healthcare company, specializing in pulse
    oximetry technology, against Tyco Healthcare Group in this antitrust action. Ms. Brantly
    managed this antitrust case involving challenges to exclusionary contracting practices
    through discovery to trial.
  • Tessera Technologies, Inc. v. Hynix Semiconductor, Inc. (Superior Court of California,
    County of San Francisco) — Ms. Brantly currently represents Tessera in this antitrust
    action against DRAM manufacturer Hynix. Tessera alleges that Hynix conspired with
    several other DRAM manufacturers to boycott and suppress the adoption of Tessera's
    patented packaging technology.
  • In re Toyota Motor Corp. Unintended Acceleration Marketing, Sales Practices, and
    Products Liability Litig.,
    MDL 2151 (C.D. Cal.) — Ms. Brantly is currently representing class members in this complex class action seeking recovery for the economic loss of the class.
  • Stark v. Shapell Industries, Inc. (Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles) —
    Ms. Brantly assisted in this consumer class action brought in state court alleging violation
    of the Unfair Competition Law and Business & Professions Code § 17200. She deposed
    numerous witnesses, drafted the motion for summary judgment, and prepared the final
    approval of settlement for court approval. This case settled shortly before trial.
