Associate Abby Noebels is Selected to the Institute for Energy Law’s 2019-20 Leadership Class

Houston associate Abby Noebels has been selected by the Institute for Energy Law (IEL) to be part of their second annual Leadership Class.   The IEL is one of the world’s oldest continuing legal education providers. It presents several educational conferences and seminars each year, publishes papers and periodicals, and provides an important forum in which contemporary issues affecting the energy industries can be discussed.

An obvious choice for an energy law leadership class, Abby has a diverse practice of high-stakes, cutting edge energy litigation. In particular, Abby has extensive experience with different types of oil and gas disputes, including lease termination, production handling agreements, seismic data licensing, area of mutual interest agreements, and joint operating agreements.  In 2017, one of Abby’s cases, a trial win for oil and gas company, Apache Corporation, was included on The National Law Journal’s 2016 “Top 100 Verdicts” List (ALM Publication).

The IEL received an astounding seventy-one applications of which forty impressive individuals were selected by a committee to take part in this year’s class, which consists of attorneys, landmen, a professor, and an economic consultant from ten states and the District of Columbia.  While many work in oil and gas litigation and transactions, several also have experience in areas such as environmental, toxic tort, construction, intellectual property, maritime, renewables, mining, power, and much more.
