Brooke A.M. Taylor Named a Law360 Rising Star

SEATTLE (March 30, 2015) — Brooke A.M. Taylor, a partner in our Seattle office, has been named a Law360 Rising Star. Taylor is one of just 145 attorneys under 40 nationwide who were named to this prestigious list, and one of just nine recognized for intellectual property.

Zillow, Intellectual Ventures, and T-Mobile are just a few of the industry-leading companies Taylor has successfully represented in her practice. At just 37, Taylor has nearly a dozen high-profile intellectual property case wins on her resume.

Taylor’s work in intellectual property extends beyond the courtroom as well. She is a co-founder and currently the Secretary of the Seattle Intellectual Property American Inn of Court, an IP group that fosters professionalism, ethics and mentoring among practitioners. She’ll assume the role of Inn President in 2016-2017. Taylor was awarded a Distinguished Service Medal by the Linn Alliance of IP Inns of Court for her efforts to form and sustain the Inn and its mission.

Taylor also speaks frequently on IP litigation topics. In March 2015, she spoke at the University of Southern California IP Institute. In 2014, she moderated a panel discussion with the Honorable Kathleen M. O’Malley of United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the Honorable James L. Robart of the Western District of Washington, and the Honorable James P. Donohue, Magistrate of the Western District of Washington. She also spoke on a Practising Law Institute (PLI) panel on settlements with Chief Magistrate Judge Elizabeth D. Laporte and former Magistrate Wayne Brazil, both of the Northern District of California.

This is not the first time Taylor has been recognized for her accomplishments involving intellectual property matters. Taylor’s peers selected her for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America© 2015 in the field of Litigation – Intellectual Property. In 2012-2014, Intellectual Asset Management magazine named Taylor to the IAM Patent 1000: The World’s Leading Patent Practitioners, and Washington Law & Politics (Thomson Reuters) included Taylor on their “Rising Stars” lists from 2009-2014.
