Susman Godfrey Files Class Action Lawsuits on Behalf of Victims of Devastating California Forest Fires

Susman Godfrey filed the Camp Fire lawsuit in San Francisco County Superior Court against Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) and alleges that PG&E’s wrongful conduct caused the most destructive wildfire in California history.

Susman Godfrey filed the Woolsey Fire lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court against Southern California Edison alleging that Edison’s malfunctioning equipment caused the Southern California fire.

The lawsuits seek to recover damages on behalf of a class of all victims of the fires.

“These devastating, preventable disasters never should have happened,” said Susman Godfrey partner Bryan Caforio. “It’s time we start putting safety over profits and hold these companies responsible for the destruction they caused.”

In addition to Caforio, the Susman Godfrey team includes partners Vineet Bhatia, Stephen E. Morrissey, Kathryn P. Hoek and Davida Brook.

Those harmed by the Camp Fire or Woolsey Fire are encouraged to contact Susman Godfrey at (310) 789-3119 for more information about the lawsuits.
