Susman Godfrey Rises in Annual IAM Patent 1000 Rankings with 7 Attorneys and 2 Locations Recommended in the U.S.

Considered a leader in ranking and reviewing patent law professionals, the IAM Patent 1000 has released their rankings for 2017 and it includes Susman Godfrey as a leader in the field of patent litigation. The firm, which was ranked nationally in “Plaintiff – Litigation,” also had two locations ranked at the gold, the highest level, in “Patent Litigation,” Texas and Washington.

Location Strength

Of the Texas location, IAM says the firm, “’stands out for its tenacious, aggressive approach in hard-fought patent disputes.’ Ascending to gold for litigation this year, it is a dynamo when it comes to obtaining substantial damages verdicts against key players in the telecommunications and energy spaces.” IAM went on to describe Susman Godfrey’s Washington location as, “aggressive yet honorable” and “smart and efficient,” saying  “the peak-performance litigation shop can take on anyone, for anyone, and emerge victorious.”

Top Patent Talent

Nine Susman Godfrey partners are ranked by IAM Patent 1000 in 2017.  Leading the list in Texas is firm founder Stephen Susman who “provides inspirational leadership” According to one peer, “he is one of the finest lawyers I have ever worked against.’” Also listed in Texas, Max Tribble’s, “level of intelligence and strategic nous really sets him apart” while “Justin Nelson and Joseph Grinstein continue to make an impact in must-win cases across the country.’”

In Washington, Partners Parker FolseBrooke Taylor and Genevieve Wallace are called major contributors to the office’s success.  Wallace debuts on the list this year and is described as, “a creative thinker who is generating a lot of buzz.”
