Susman Godfrey wins $225 million jury verdict for Dillard’s

Dallas, Texas — A Dallas County jury awarded more than $225 million to Dillard’s, Inc. (DDS) who sued i2 Technologies for fraud, breach of contract, and breach of warranty. i2 Technologies is now a division of JDA Software (JDAS).

The verdict was delivered late Tuesday, June 15, 2010 in the 191st Dallas County Civil District Court. The Dallas County jury found i2 liable for fraud and breach of warranty, awarding over $76 million in lost profits and $11 million in payments made on a fraud claim, over $8 million on the breach on warranty claim, and $150 million in punitive damages against i2. In addition, the jury rejected i2’s counterclaims against Dillard’s.
