Overview
Alicia Lai joined Susman Godfrey after serving as a law clerk to Judge Tiffany P. Cunningham and Judge Kathleen O’Malley of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and to Judge Edward M. Chen of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. At the University of Pennsylvania Law School, she served as an Articles Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review, Senior Editor of the Journal of Law & Innovation, and President of the Mock Trial Association. She holds an A.B. in Neuroscience from Princeton University.
Alicia’s articles on law and technology have been published in journals such as the Duke Law Journal, Stanford Journal of Computational Antitrust, Oxford Handbook on AI Governance, and Scientific American. Her work has been selected for presentations at the Salzburg Cutler Program in International Law, Perry World House for Global Engagement, and Harvard Kennedy School of Government, among others. For her academic scholarship and leadership in the intellectual property sector, she received the Jan Jancin Award from the American Intellectual Property Law Association and American Bar Association.
