Overview
Argie Mina joined Susman Godfrey after clerking for the Honorable Sunshine S. Sykes of the United States District Court for the Central District of California. Argie earned his J.D. cum laude from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, where he received the Wigmore Key Award and served as a Notes Editor of the Northwestern University Law Review, President of the Moot Court Society, Captain of the National Trial Team, Captain of the Jessup International Moot Court Team, President of the First Generation Law Student Association, Director of Habeas Chorus (the law school’s a cappella group), and Music Director and Choreographer for the law school’s annual Wigmore Follies musical. Before law school, Argie worked as a nuclear chemist and dance choreographer.
Prior to working at Susman Godfrey, Argie practiced intellectual property litigation at a multinational Vault 10 firm, focusing on trade secret, patent, copyright, and trademark disputes. During that time, Argie obtained a $40 million trade secret jury verdict in a trade-secret misappropriation action involving semiconductor processing technology. He also won a $30 million trade secret and unfair competition jury verdict in a lawsuit concerning misappropriation of his client’s rule and data trade secrets. Argie also achieved a complete defense jury verdict for his client in a six-patent network technologies case, finding no infringement of any patents, and invalidating every asserted patent claim.
