Kris represents plaintiffs and defendants in a wide range of commercial litigation matters. He joined Susman Godfrey in the spring of 2019 after graduating from the University of Texas School of Law in May of 2018. In the interim, Kris clerked with a firm representing clients in matters as diverse as labor & employment, vicarious liability, corporate law, negligence, premises liability, construction law, contract law, and agency law. While in law school, Kris served as a law clerk for US Western District of Texas Bankruptcy Judge Tony M. Davis and US Southern District of Texas Magistrate Judge Jason B. Libby, as well as for Hirsch & Westheimer P.C. in Houston. Kris represented his law school in both the Lone Star and TYLA Interscholastic Mock Trial Tournaments. Kris enrolled in the University of Texas Criminal Defense Clinic and represented criminal defendants “first chair” in domestic assault, theft, and other misdemeanor cases, securing favorable plea deals and dismissals during negotiations with prosecutors and appearances in Court. He was also an Articles Editor of the Texas Journal on Civil Liberties and Civil Rights and a Justice on the University of Texas Student Government Supreme Court.
