Overview
Michael Tayag joined Susman Godfrey after clerking for Judge Jacqueline H. Nguyen of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and Judge Keith P. Ellison of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
Michael is a graduate of Yale Law School, where he served on the executive boards of the Capital Assistance Project and First Generation Professionals. As a member of the Worker and Immigrant Rights Advocacy Clinic, Michael presented oral argument before the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit on behalf of a class of immigration detainees. He co-authored A Portrait of Asian Americans in the Law 2.0: Identity and Action in Challenging Times, published by the American Bar Foundation and the National Asian Pacific Bar Association.
Michael completed his undergraduate education at Stanford University. Before law school, he was a program performance auditor for a local government.
