Overview
Rachel represents both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of commercial litigation matters. Prior to joining Susman Godfrey, Rachel practiced in the Dallas office of an international law firm, where she represented corporate borrowers and private equity fund sponsors in complex secured and unsecured commercial financing transactions, primarily focused on acquisition financings and syndicated credit facilities.
Rachel earned undergraduate degrees from The Florida State University. She worked as a law clerk/paralegal in Austin, Texas before attending the University of Texas School of Law for her law degree, which she achieved in 2020. She was awarded a SEO Law Fellowship the summer prior to starting at Texas Law, and she worked as a summer associate at a international law firm in Dallas, Texas. At Texas Law, Rachel served as the Assistant Managing Editor of the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas, and Energy Law, the alumni coordinator for the Thurgood Marshall Legal Society, and co-organized a weekend of programming for incoming minority Texas Law students. During her penultimate semester of law school, she completed coursework in European Union competition law, financial markets and regulation, and internet governance during a semester studying abroad at the University of Oslo in Oslo, Norway.
