Bill Carmody Named an Elite Boutique Trailblazer by National Law Journal

Bill Carmody has been named an Elite Boutique Trailblazer by the National Law Journal in its fourth compilation of lawyers who have, “taken extra measures to contribute to positive outcomes” and who are, “true agents of change.”

Bill breaks the mold of what is expected in a trial lawyer. In an industry where more cases settle before seeing a courtroom, Bill leads a booming bet-the-company trial practice – he has served as lead counsel to some of the country’s biggest companies, including GE, Uber and Third Point LLC.  For plaintiffs, he has secured verdicts and settlements in excess of a billion dollars. For defendants, he saved his clients from billions in exposure.

Bill’s most recent wins include winning a jury verdict and then judgment valued at over $160M on behalf of GE, securing a highly favorable settlement as lead counsel to Uber in its epic trade secret misappropriation battle against Google’s Waymo, and, most recently, securing over $130  million in settlements on behalf of the largest political subdivisions in California in a ground-breaking suit against wireless carriers for over-billing the government in State of California et al. ex rel. OntheGo Wireless, LLC v. Cellco Partnership.
