On February 25, Susman Godfrey Partner Jacob Buchdahl was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers at the 2023 Meeting of the College in Key Biscayne, Florida. Founded in 1950, the College is recognized as the preeminent organization of trial lawyers in North America. According to the American College of Trial Lawyers, “Fellowship is extended only by invitation, after careful investigation, to those experienced trial lawyers who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality.”
Buchdahl joined Susman Godfrey in 2007 and has helped its New York office grow from just four lawyers to over forty. A graduate of Yale College and Yale Law School, Buchdahl previously served as a federal prosecutor in the Public Corruption Unit of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York. Buchdahl has handled lawsuits for clients including Memorial Sloan Kettering, NBC Universal, Saba Capital Management, New York University, and Nasdaq. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Lawyers for Children and the Board of Trustees of the Abraham Joshua Heschel School.
Buchdahl is the fourth Susman Godfrey Partner to become a Fellow of the College: Neal Manne and Parker Folse were inducted in 2012, followed by Barry Barnett in 2014.
