The Daily Journal has named Los Angeles partner Kalpana Srinivasan among the “Top 100 Lawyers” for 2017.  Recognized in part for her role as lead counsel to two separate classes in prominent litigations in the music industry this past year, Srinivasan has earned over $116 million for her clients in the past 12 months alone.  The first, in the highly publicized Flo & Eddie v. SiriusXM, where the court granted Srinivasan’s clients a settlement valued at $73 million and the second, in notable Ferrick v Spotify, where Srinivasan helped secure a $43.45 million cash fund (fees and expenses not yet determined) and going forward royalties under a license, a settlement that remains subject to Court approval.

This caps off what has been a banner year for Srinivasan.  On the heels of the “Top 100” recognition, she was named a 2017 “Top IP Lawyer” by Daily Journal as well as a “Top Woman Lawyer” in both 2017 and 2016.  Additionally, in March, Daily Journal named Srinivasan and her co-counsel “California Lawyer Attorneys of the Year” for their work in Flo & Eddie Inc. v. Sirius XM.
