Krisina Zuñiga Featured in Bloomberg Law’s They’ve Got Next

Houston Associate Krisina Zuñiga is featured in Bloomberg Law’s latest series, “They’ve Got Next.” Described as an “Intellectual Property Fresh Face,” Zuñiga’s claim to fame in 2020 is a nearly $40 million judgment for client Repeat Precision, LLC, against Diamondback Industries, Inc., in a case involving patent infringement, trade secret, and antitrust claims. The case was tried during a three-day bench trial earlier this year. During the trial to U.S. District Judge Alan D. Albright, Zuñiga led the direct examination of Repeat Precision president Grant Martin—the longest examination of the trial. Notably, Judge Albright remarked that Zuñiga’s performance was “virtually perfect” and referenced the “detailed presentation” in his eventual findings of fact and conclusions of law.

In her interview with Bloomberg Law, Zuñiga shares her experience taking the case to trial and shares words of wisdom to young lawyers looking to make their mark: “Don’t be scared or intimidated by intellectual property cases.” She also discusses her role as president of the Houston Young Lawyers Association and how she has come up through the profession.
