Max Tribble is Named Texas’s Outstanding Intellectual Property Litigator by Managing IP

Managing Intellectual Property – The Global IP Resource has named Susman Godfrey Houston partner, Max Tribble, “Texas’s 2019 Outstanding IP Litigator” as part of its annual America Awards.

Tribble is one of Susman Godfrey’s leading IP lawyers; he won a landmark jury verdict of $706.2 million for real estate analytics company HouseCanary in a misappropriation of trade secret, fraud and breach of contract case against Title Source in 2018.  The award was later increased to nearly $740 million when it was finalized by the court in later 2018.  Tribble was lead counsel for HouseCanary and first chair at the 7-week trial where there was a unanimous 12-0 jury verdict in his favor.

Tribble has also served as lead counsel at trial for Fractus S.A. in a trial against Samsung, where he prevailed with a $38 million verdict and for Two-Way Media at trial against AT&T where he secured a $40 million award for his client.

In 2018 Tribble was also named a “Litigation Trailblazer” by the National Law Journal and helped secure Susman Godfrey’s recognition as “IP Group of the Year” by Law360.  Most recently, Tribble was named one of the “500 Leading Lawyers in America” by Lawdragon.
