Susman Godfrey Honored as Elite Trial Lawyers in Business Torts by the National Law Journal

Firm Partner Kalpana Srinivasan also among the Elite Women of the Plaintiffs Bar List for the Second Year in a Row

Susman Godfrey has been recognized as among the nation’s Elite Trial Lawyers in the field of Business Torts by the National Law Journal as part of its 2019 Professional Excellence Award Series.

The recognitions come after a year of noteworthy business cases for Susman Godfrey, including the firm securing a $706.2 million jury verdict for real estate analytics company, HouseCanary, in its trade secret misappropriation fraud and breach of contract case against TitleSource; winning a $25.25 million judgement for Beats Headphones designer, Steven Lamar, in his breach of contract litigation against Jibe Audio, Dr. Dre, and Jimmy Iovine; and nabbing a verdict valued at $160 million for General Electric in a securities contracts case against the Nebraska Investment Finance Authority.

The National Law Journal also honored Los Angeles partner, Kalpana Srinivasan as one of its Elite Women of the Plaintiffs Bar for the second year in a row.  Srinivasan served as co-lead counsel to HouseCanary in its epic win against TitleSource – the judgment was just named the fourth highest verdict in the United States in 2018.  Srinivasan was also named court-appointed co-lead counsel to a certified class of consumers in In re: Qualcomm Antitrust Litigation, referred to by Qualcomm as “the biggest class action in history.” You can read NLJ’s interview with Srinivasan here.
