Susman Godfrey Named a Finalist Among America’s Elite Trial Lawyers by the National Law Journal in Antitrust and Business Torts

Partner Kalpana Srinivasan also named a finalist for Elite Women of the Plaintiffs Bar for the second year in a row

Susman Godfrey LLP has been named a finalist to the 2019 National Law Journal America’s Elite Trial Lawyers in the areas of antitrust and business torts. Additionally, partner Kalpana Srinivasan has been named a finalist to the Journal’s Elite Women of the Plaintiffs Bar list for the second year in a row.

The list represents “those law firms that are on the cutting edge of plaintiffs-side work in the United States and that have achieved exemplary results for their clients.” The lawyers and law firms selected as finalists have “demonstrated exemplary performance in cutting-edge work on behalf of plaintiffs over the last 18 months” and also, “possess a solid track record of client wins over the past three to five years.”

Focus on Antitrust

For the second year in a row, Susman Godfrey was named as a finalist in the antitrust category, having scored numerous significant antitrust wins for plaintiffs.  From securing over a billion dollars in settlements in In Re: Auto Parts Litigation, to over $590 million in settlements in the ongoing In Re: LIBOR Antitrust Litigation, to successfully representing Walmart in In Re: Packaged Seafood Products Antitrust Litigation, the firm unfailingly proves that it is a leader in antitrust litigation.

New Addition: Business Torts

For the first time this year the firm is also named a finalist in business torts litigation.  Susman Godfrey’s notable results include: a $706.2 million trial triumph for HouseCanary against Title Source, the $25.2 million win for Steven Lamar against Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine, and a jury verdict valued at more than $160 million on behalf of General Electric in its lawsuit against the Nebraska Investment Finance Authority (NIFA).
