The National Law Journal Names Partners Bill Carmody, Kalpana Srinivasan and Max Tribble Winning Litigators

The National Law Journal has named partners Bill Carmody, Kalpana Srinivasan and Max Tribble, among its “Winning Litigators” for 2019.  This annual National Law Journal List describes the honorees as all having taken on and conquered high stakes matters in 2018.

BILL CARMODY

Head of the New York office, Bill Carmody is recognized for the two high stakes trials he tried back-to-back on opposite coasts during in late 2017 and early 2018. Carmody represented Uber in its high-profile trade secrets case against Google’s Waymo and just days later tried a securities contract case for General Electric against the Nebraska Investment Finance Authority.  In the former matter he secured a favorable, confidential settlement for Uber days into trial while in the latter he won a verdict valued at $160 million for GE.

KALPANA SRINIVASAN & MAX TRIBBLE

Srinivasan and Tribble are recognized for their massive win for real estate analytics company, HouseCanary, in its trade secret misappropriation, breach of contract and fraud case against QuickenLoan’s Title Source.  The $706.2 million verdict, which was the 4th highest in the United States in 2018 and the largest verdict ever secured in Susman Godfrey’s history, was affirmed by the court in late 2018 at a total value of nearly $740 million.
