Susman Godfrey and the firm’s lawyers have been named honorees by the American Antitrust Institute (AAI) as part of its 2018 Antirust Enforcement Awards. This is the third year in a row the firm and its lawyers have been recognized by AAI.
This year Susman Godfrey, will be honored with the award for “Outstanding Antitrust Litigation Achievement in Private Law Practice” for the firm’s accomplishments in In re Vitamin C Antitrust Litigation – a multi-million class action case that was weighed in on by the Supreme Court earlier this year. The team is joined in being honored by their co-counsel from Boies Schiller Flexner LLP and Hausfeld LLP
Partner James Southwick, spearheaded Susman Godfrey’s efforts in this case. Southwick was also honored by AAI in 2017 for his work on Dial Corporation, et al. v. News Corporation, et al. Also in 2017, Partner Matthew Berry was honored by AAI with the Outstanding Antitrust Litigation Achievement by a Young Lawyer award for his exceptional work in the In Re Animation Workers Antitrust Litigation. In 2016, the legal team from the Municipal Derivatives Antitrust case was honored by AAI.
The team from Susman Godfrey will be recognized at the Antitrust Enforcement Awards Dinner on November 14, 2018.
