Susman Godfrey is pleased to announce that the United States District Court for the Northern District of California has granted final approval of the historic $1.5 billion settlement resolving copyright infringement claims against Anthropic on behalf of a nationwide class of authors. The settlement—the largest known copyright recovery in history—provides meaningful compensation to authors whose copyrighted works were allegedly used without permission to train Anthropic’s artificial intelligence models.
