Y. Gloria Park

A trial lawyer and commercial litigator, Gloria represents plaintiffs and defendants in significant disputes involving intellectual property, defamation, antitrust claims, securities litigation, breach of contract, and other business torts. Her experience spans emerging AI technologies, global electronics companies, energy businesses, and government contracting.

Gloria excels at mastering difficult records, distilling complicated issues into compelling narratives, and uncovering the details that can change the trajectory of a case. She examined multiple witnesses at trial in an executive compensation dispute for oil and gas company EnerVest, helping secure a favorable post-trial settlement, and helped obtain a $20 million settlement for Insignia Systems in its antitrust litigation against News Corporation and News America Marketing. She has also achieved favorable settlements in patent litigation against Samsung and LG. She is currently representing Encyclopedia Britannica and Merriam-Webster in their copyright and trademark action against Perplexity AI.

BACKGROUND

Gloria was recognized as a Rising Star by New York Law Journal (ALM, 2023) and has been included on New York Super Lawyers’ Rising Star list every year since 2020.

She joined Susman Godfrey after clerking for Judge Merrick B. Garland on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit and Judge Sandra L. Lynch on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Gloria graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School, where she served as Executive Editor of the Harvard Law Review. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Harvard College.
