Overview
Tanner Laiche handles complex, high-stakes litigation across the country. He represents both plaintiffs and defendants from the outset of a case through trial, delivering powerful results—including multi-million-dollar victories. Tanner is hands-on at every phase: he’s taken and defended both fact and expert witness depositions coast-to-coast, briefed, argued, and won key motions, and appeared in courts across the country. Tanner’s practice spans patent infringement, breach of contract, constitutional claims, Anti-Terrorism Act litigation, and other high-impact commercial disputes.
Tanner Laiche joined Susman Godfrey after clerking for Judge Richard C. Tallman on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He graduated Order of the Coif from UCLA School of Law, where he was a Michael T. Masin Scholar, Graduate Assistant Tutor, and managing editor of the UCLA Law Review. Prior to attending law school, Tanner worked in residential construction for his father’s building and remodeling company, and also worked as an elementary-school science teacher in Arkansas with Teach for America. Tanner received his undergraduate degree magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Oregon.
