Partner Michael Gervais Named a Minority Leader of Influence by Los Angeles Business Journal

Los Angeles Partner Michael Gervais has been recognized by the Los Angeles Business Journal as a Minority Leader of Influence in the magazine’s annual round-up of the state’s top minority lawyers who are, “impactful on the legal scene, while serving as trusted advisors, along with maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards.”

Michael is regularly tapped to try high profile, cutting edge cases. In 2020 Michael was one of nine lawyers appointed to the leadership group representing a proposed class of users suing TikTok and its parent company for privacy violations. In 2019 he achieved a full defense ruling in the district court for energy company Vitol in an antitrust matter valued at billions of dollars. It is currently on appeal. Michael also represented a class of  indigent misdemeanor arrestees pro bono in a landmark case to challenge the money bail scheme in Harris County, Texas, a constitutional matter which he, along with a team of lawyers from the firm, won a preliminary injunction and later settled while serving pro bono.
