Co-Managing Partner, Kalpana Srinivasan, has been named by the Daily Journal as a 2024 Top Intellectual Property Lawyer in California. Regularly litigating cases at the forefront of intellectual property law across trade secret, patent, and copyright, this is her sixth time receiving this recognition since 2017.
Just a few months ago, Ms. Srinivasan obtained a court judgment confirming a nearly $160 million arbitral award on behalf of mortgage technology servicing client, Black Knight, against loan provider, PennyMac for its misuse of confidential information. The award followed a nearly two-month arbitration in Jacksonville, Florida in 2023.
In 2023, Ms. Srinivasan also resolved patent infringement claims on behalf of the California Institute of Technology in litigation against Samsung involving its seminal Wi-Fi patents. As co-lead counsel to healthcare analytics company, Pascal Metrics, Ms. Srinivasan secured an $18.8 million settlement with defendant, Health Catalyst, for taking and using Pascal’s algorithmic triggers used to monitor patient safety.
Ms. Srinivasan is currently serving as lead counsel for Yale University, litigating its trade secret and breach of contract claims related to targeted protein degradation trade secrets developed by a Yale professor. She is also prosecuting patent infringement claims against Cisco Systems on behalf of Paltalk Holdings with trial set for August 2024.
