LA Partner Krysta Kauble Pachman has been named a California Trailblazer by legal publication The Recorder in its second annual feature honoring of the top lawyers in California. The Recorder’s list, “shines a light on those who have taken extra measures to contribute to positive outcomes.” Of the hundreds of nominees submitted, those selected are lawyers who are, “true agents of change.”
Pachman has been in involved in some of Susman Godfrey’s most significant litigation and has secured hundreds of millions of dollars for her clients. In the widely covered Ferrick v. Spotify, she helped secure a $43.45 million cash settlement fund to settle a class-action lawsuit with Spotify brought on behalf of music copyright owners. She also helped secure a $40 million settlement for a class of derivatives traders in Timber Hill v. Pershing Square Capital Management, the largest ever stand-alone options settlement and the largest ever Section 20A options settlement. Earlier in her career. Pachman played a key role in Schulein, et al. v. Petroleum Development Corp., securing a $37.5 million deal for a class of more than 7,000 limited partners who alleged defendants made false and misleading statements regarding the value of the assets used to solicit votes in favor of mergers that caused the investors to be cashed out of their investments.
