Marc Seltzer Named Top Antitrust Lawyer by Daily Journal for the Sixth Year in a Row

For the sixth year in a row, Marc Seltzer has been recognized by the California legal publication, the Daily Journal, as a Top Antitrust Lawyer in California. Seltzer has been recognized several times by the publication for his achievements —including being named one of the nation’s Top Commercial Litigators in 2023 and 2024, being included on its Top Plaintiffs Lawyers in four separate years, and previously being named to its Top 100 Lawyers list.

Seltzer is responsible for leading the firm’s work in some of the country’s most significant antitrust suits such as In re Auto Parts Antitrust Litigation, in which settlements exceed $1.2 billion. He also helped to achieve a groundbreaking $418 million joint settlement on behalf of a nationwide class of home sellers with the National Association of Realtors that will resolve claims in four antitrust class actions against the NAR. Settlements in the litigation now exceed $1 billion. In addition, Seltzer serves as co-lead counsel for the plaintiffs in the  In re National Football League’s “Sunday Ticket” Antitrust Litigation. He successfully argued an appeal in that litigation before the 9th Circuit in which the Court Appeal reversed an order dismissing the case and was part of the trial team that thereafter obtained $4.7 billion jury trial victory against the NFL and its teams.  While the trial court vacated the award on a post-trial motion, it left untouched the jury’s determination that the NFL had violated the antitrust laws. Proceedings in the matter are ongoing.

Seltzer is widely recognized in the legal community for his leadership in antitrust and other complex litigation. He sits on the Advisory Board of the American Antitrust Institute and has repeatedly been named  one of the world’s Thought Leaders in Competition by Who’s Who Legal and recognized as a leading litigator in antitrust and securities litigation by Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America, the Legal 500 and other publications.
