Houston associate Krisina Zuñiga has been named one of the country’s top 40 lawyers under the age of 40 by the American Bar Association (ABA) as part of their annual On the Rise feature. The On the Rise program “provides national recognition for ABA young lawyer members who exemplify a broad range of high achievement, innovation, vision, leadership, and legal and community service.” Zuñiga was selected based on her “superb reputation as an outstanding lawyer and servant to the public.”
As recognized in the ABA’s profile of Zuñiga:
Krisina Zuñiga is an associate at Susman Godfrey, focusing her practice on civil litigation for both plaintiffs and defendants. In just over three years at the firm, Krisina has secured several notable wins, including a nearly $40 million trial win in federal court.
Krisina is also a community leader. From 2020-2021, Krisina served as president of the Houston Young Lawyers Association. Despite the challenges of COVID-19, Krisina led one of the organization’s most successful years to date, offering over 100 (mostly virtual) events.
Krisina joined Susman Godfrey after clerking for the Honorable Diana Saldaña and the Honorable Jennifer Walker Elrod. She earned her J.D. from Stanford Law School and a B.A. summa cum laude from Rice University.
Zuñiga and her fellow Top 40 Young Lawyers Award honorees will be recognized in the summer print edition of the ABA Young Lawyer Division’s magazine and at the ABA Young Lawyer Division’s virtual awards presentation during its annual meeting in August.
