Susman Godfrey partner Rohit Nath and co-Managing Partner Kalpana Srinivasan have been named among the Daily Journal’s Top Intellectual Property Lawyers for 2026, recognizing two of California’s leading litigators handling cutting-edge technology, copyright, and trade secret disputes.
Nath was recognized for his leadership in precedent-setting copyright and artificial intelligence litigation. He represents a class of authors and publishers in the groundbreaking copyright litigation against Anthropic, which resulted in a $1.5 billion class action settlement, subject to court approval. Nath was also just tapped by Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers (N.D. Cal.) to serve as co-lead counsel to plaintiffs in a proposed class action against Apple for allegedly using pirated books to train its artificial intelligence models.
Srinivasan was honored for her work litigating high-stakes intellectual property matters involving patents, trade secrets, and emerging technologies. She most recently secured a $175 million jury verdict for technology company HouseCanary against Amrock Inc (now known as Rocket Close LLC) after a San Antonio jury found that Amrock misappropriated HouseCanary’s valuable trade secrets and defrauded the company through false promises. This is the second jury verdict Srinivasan as secured in favor of HouseCanary.
The recognitions further underscore Susman Godfrey’s position at the forefront of intellectual property and technology litigation nationwide.
