Susman Godfrey has again ranked prominently in the annual Vault survey of U.S. law firm associates. The full results have now been released, and the firm scored highly in several areas, including:
- Top U.S. Litigation Boutique: Susman Godfrey earned this ranking for the seventh year in a row, receiving the honor every year since the inception of the ranking in 2012
- Vault “Top 100”: Susman Godfrey is again included on the Vault “Top 100” list of the best law firms to work at in the United States. The list includes some of the most prestigious law firms in the country.
- Regional Leader: The firm’s Houston location ranked third in Vault’s 2018 Best Law Firms in Texas, further establishing itself as a leader in the lone star state.
- Leading Midsize Firm: The firm also scored well against other midsize firms. In particular, it was included in the top midsized firms to work for nationally and scored highly against other midsized firms in terms of overall work satisfaction and quality of work assigned among associates.
Vault also included a new section in 2018 called, “In the News,” featuring highlights from the past 12 months at Susman Godfrey. These events included a new sign-on bonus for all incoming associates, the Apache verdict being named by National Law Journal as one of the Top 100 Verdicts of 2017 and being named a “Class Action Group of the Year” by Law360.

Considered a “go-to” resource for law school students, associates, partners and law firm recruiters, Vault’s annual rankings are determined by thousands of associates nationwide. While survey respondents may vote for up to three firms in each practice area, they are not permitted to vote for their own firm.
