The National Law Journal has named Susman Godfrey Seattle partner Dan Shih a 2019 Equality Trailblazer in its premier edition of its Equality Trailblazer series.
In interviewing Shih, the National Law Journal spoke to him about his leadership work on Susman Godfrey’s Diversity Committee and his substantial pro bono practice doing impact litigation on diversity-focused issues such as federal anti-discrimination protection work. NLJ also spoke to Shih about his leadership of QLaw Association of Washington, where he prioritized issues affecting trans and LGBTQ youth and brought the concerns of marginalized communities to the forefront of criminal justice reform.
The National Law Journal’s list recognizes lawyers who make their mark in the various aspects of equality work. Of the many nominees submitted, those selected are lawyers who share a common thread of “deep passion and perseverance in pursuit of their respective missions, having received remarkable success along the way.”
