Application Specialist and Trainer

Susman Godfrey has an opening for an Application Specialist and Trainer in the Houston office.   The ideal candidate should have law firm experience and is familiar with legal documents such as briefs and pleadings, and has provided general end-user help desk support.

This role is responsible for two functions. As a trainer, you must have a full understanding of all end-user software and will assist with the design and development and delivery of training material and course curriculum.  As a technical specialist you must have extensive application support experience to include: advanced Word and Adobe experience, ability to troubleshoot formulas, charts and printing in excel, ability to troubleshoot PowerPoint slides, working knowledge of iManage or similar document management system, and advanced computer and software application skills.

Must have strong project management skills, superior communication and organizational abilities, be a self-starter and detail-oriented, have an enthusiastic and energetic team attitude, and able to work extended hours and overtime on short notice when necessary.  Poise and the ability to thrive in a challenging environment is essential.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, conference room reservations, maintaining and updating Outlook contacts, revising and editing documents, file organization, light accounting, meeting and beverage setup, reception coverage, greeting visitors, and other office responsibilities.
