The American Bar Association has just announced that co-Managing Partner, Neal Manne, will be one of just five recipients of the 2021 Pro Bono Publico award. The Pro Bono Publico award is a national honor that recognizes lawyers who demonstrate, “outstanding commitment to volunteer legal services for the poor and disadvantaged.” It represents the top honors given by the ABA Standing Committee on Pro Bono and Public Service, which over the years has spotlighted pro bono efforts of individual lawyers, law firms, government attorney offices, corporate law departments and other legal institutions.
The ABA has two major pro bono awards. Manne, who was honored earlier this month by the ABA’s litigation section with the John Minor Wisdom Public Service and Professionalism Award, is the only person ever to receive both ABA awards in the same year.
