Susman Godfrey Associate, Meng Xi, has been elected President of the Judge Paul R. Michel Intellectual Property American Inn of Court in Los Angeles, CA. Xi will be serving the 2019-2020 term, which starts in June 2019.
The Inn’s mission is threefold: to build and strengthen relationships among practitioners and the judiciary, to help both the IP bench and bar stay current on legal issues of interest, and to exhort passion in and dedication to the law through monthly meetings and presentations from its various pupilage groups.
Xi has been making a name for herself in intellectual property litigation, having been named a Next Generation Woman Leader in Tech Law by The Recorder and recognized as a Southern California “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers. During her time at the firm, Xi has achieved a myriad of victories against formidable opponents such as Google, Samsung, Microsoft, and Snap in high stakes patent litigation.
The Intellectual Property American Inn of Court currently boasts 11 federal judges in the Central District of California that are part of the Executive Committee and a membership of 55 strong comprised of judges, attorneys, law clerks, and law students. Before becoming President, Xi was Program Chair of the Inn for the last 2 years.
