New York Parker Cory Buland has been recognized by Business Insider as a Rising Star of the Courtroom in its collection of the “next crop of great litigators.” In this inaugural list, Business Insider describes the 15 recognized young lawyers as being, “driven by the thrill of a live courtroom and a sense of mission to help clients get their day in court.”
No stranger to the courtroom, Buland has tried many cases, most recently in the New York state court as lead counsel to 255 Butler Associates LLC in a $40 million real estate dispute. Buland has a long list of high profile disputes, including representing Uber in a trial with Google’s self-driving-car company, Waymo, over trade secrets involving autonomous vehicle tech; advising WeWork founder Adam Neumann, whom he represented in a fight with investor SoftBank; and securing $70 million for Wellstat Therapeutics following a bench trial over a pharmaceutical contract dispute.
Buland has previously been named an Elite Trial Lawyer Rising Star of the Plaintiffs Bar by the National Law Journal and one of the country’s Leading Plaintiff Financial Lawyers by Lawdragon.
