Marc Seltzer and Kalpana Srinivasan Named Leading Commercial Litigators in the United States by the Los Angeles Daily Journal

Partner Marc Seltzer and Managing Partner Kalpana Srinivasan have been named among the leading commercial litigators in Daily Journal’s inaugural list of the country’s best commercial and bet-the-the-company litigators. Both known for securing landmark judgments and groundbreaking verdicts and settlements in their respective high stakes practices, Srinivasan and Seltzer are among a list of less than 50 lawyers in the country who are recognized with this distinction.

Marc Seltzer founded Susman Godfrey’s Los Angeles office and is also a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.  Over his more than 50 years of practice, Seltzer has secured billions of dollars in verdicts and settlements for the clients he represents. Often tapped to lead the country’s most high stakes class actions, Seltzer is currently serving as Court-appointed co-lead counsel to plaintiffs in a multidistrict class action litigation alleging DirecTV’s exclusive NFL Sunday Ticket package violates federal antitrust laws. He also serves as a senior member of the firm’s trial team where the firm is co-lead counsel to a direct purchaser class, which was certified by the Court — the only one of several proposed classes to receive certification–in a consolidated antitrust proceeding arising out of the LIBOR-rate fixing scandal. Thus far the firm has helped secure $590 million in partial settlements for the class. Read his interview with Daily Journal here (subscription required).

Kalpana Srinivasan serves as Susman Godfrey’s co-managing partner and a member of its Executive Committee. Srinivasan has handled cutting edge patent, trade secret and copyright disputes against some of the country’s most formidable opponents and has secured among the largest verdicts and settlements nationwide. Srinivasan is currently lead counsel for the California Institute of Technology in pursuing its seminal Wi-Fi patents for infringement against Samsung’s mobile and other devices. She is also representing various companies in major trade secret disputes around the country. Read her interview with Daily Journal here (subscription required).
