Partner Lexie White Named Among Finalists for National Law Journal’s Winning Litigators

Houston partner Lexie White is named among a small group of Finalists for National Law Journal’s Winning Litigators award. In the past 12 months White has first-chaired two different trial teams, leading each to back-to-back victories in jury trials pending in Delaware federal court and Texas state court respectively. She won a $341 million judgment following a jury trial against Samsung over breach of a license agreement and, just three months earlier, secured a unanimous verdict from a Delaware federal jury finding that HTC Corporation willfully infringed two patents declared essential to LTE wireless standards.

Lexie is a veteran lead trial lawyer who regularly tries and wins high stakes commercial disputes. In the 12 months preceding this award period, for instance, she secured both a federal jury victory worth more than $100 million in past and future patent royalty damages against Swedish telecom giant Ericsson and, following a week-long bench trial in D.C. Superior Court, a ruling that her opponent should take nothing on $18 million in alleged contractual damages, while also winning the full amount of her client’s damages and attorneys’ fees.

Winners for the Winning Litigators Award will be announced during an awards event at the Fairmont Washington D.C. – Georgetown on Oct. 24.
