Texas Partner Lexie White and Seattle Partner Andres Healy have been recognized in the latest rankings of IP Stars. Both recognized for their patent litigation work, White is recognized as an IP Star this year while Healy makes his debut on the Rising Stars list for IP litigation.
White and Healy recently led the charge on securing a $31.5 million jury victory on behalf of Dutch telecommunications company Koninklijke KPN N.V. (“KPN”), against Swedish telecom giant Ericsson over patent infringement claims relating to telecom networks. The verdict concludes a more than five-year dispute between the companies, a dispute that White and Healy remained at the helm of for its entirety. The win attracted media attention from several popular legal publications. Texas Lawyer discussed it in “Inside Susman Godfrey’s Multi-Generational Approach That Led to $31.5 Million Jury Verdict” and Law360 featured it in its How They Won it Series.
This is just one of a string of patent wins the team has secured for KPN and other clients like Ancora Technologies.
