A team of Susman Godfrey lawyers that represented Uber in its 2018 epic battle against Google’s Waymo over self-driving car technology was awarded with Benchmark Litigation’s National Impact Case of the Year Award.
The trial team was led by New York Partners Bill Carmody and Shawn Rabin, Houston partner Joe Grinstein, and Seattle partner Matthew Berry. Also on the trial team were Cory Buland, Halley Josephs, and Ian Gore. Just before trial, the team successfully struck Waymo’s damages experts. The case was then resolved after four days of trial.
Susman Godfrey received the award at a ceremony in New York City on February 28th. A full list of honorees can be found here.
