Susman Godfrey has received the Specialty/Boutique Litigation Department of the Year award for 2019 from The American Lawyer. Honorees were announced during the The American Lawyer Industry Awards gala event in New York on December 4, which also marked the publication’s 40th anniversary. Now in its second year, the program recognizes “the profession’s finest.”
“This is a significant honor and recognizes the hard work and dedication of each lawyer and staff member at the firm,” said managing partner Neal S. Manne. “We are grateful to receive this recognition from one of the most respected publications for the U.S. legal industry.”
In giving the award to Susman Godfrey, The American Lawyer noted several recent high-profile successes and representations for the firm. This included a $700 million verdict for HouseCanary, the firm’s defense of Uber in its dispute with Waymo and helping overturn the unconstitutional bail system used in Harris County, Texas.
