Ophelia F. Camina

Overview

The Dallas Business Journal wrote: "Ophelia Camiña is no ordinary lawyer. A partner with Susman Godfrey LLP since 1991 she has achieved extraordinary success at trial.

But "success" alone doesn't fully describe Ms. Camiña's track record. Her recent $239 million jury verdict representing the plaintiff in Dillard's, Inc. v. i2 Technologies, Inc. is one of the Top 10 Jury Verdicts in the United States in 2010. Few trial lawyers have obtained this level of victory for their clients. And, she is just as successful in representing defendants. For one client, who was sued for over $100 million, Ms. Camiña obtained not only a "take nothing" award, but also an award of her client's attorney's fees.***

Clients describe Ms. Camiña as "smart, gutsy and tenacious" and "has the whole trial-lawyer package: confidence, compassion, competitiveness and good judgment." Ms. Camiña's trial practice includes complex commercial cases in state court, federal court and in arbitration. She has represented plaintiffs and defendants in a broad array of commercial disputes. Because of her extraordinary track record, she is especially sought after by clients facing complex, high-stakes and "bet-the-company" cases.

***These are just examples of completed cases and not a prediction of future outcomes.
