Susman Godfrey considers Of Counsel a crucial firm resource – there is no artificial limit on the role of an Of Counsel. Of Counsel work closely with our partners and associates as integrated members of our trial teams.
Of Counsel participate in firm management and engagement. Of Counsel vote on accepting new cases and other important firm matters . The firm meets weekly to discuss new cases, and all of counsel are encouraged to attend and participate. Similarly, Of Counsel are encouraged to attend and participate in CLE and training events. Of Counsel are also entitled to receive client origination credit for work they bring in.

Policies
Of Counsel are expected to have several years of commercial litigation experience but are not required to have clerked for federal judges.
A minimum of 2000 billable hours a year is expected with additional hours being considered when bonuses are awarded.
